Soldering ASURO components
Today was the first time I soldered something on a PCB. It was quite awkward, since my arms were continuously shaking, but I guess that was just me being a little nervous and nothing else. After the first few tries I felt like I was doing this for years.
My first goal was to solder the robot's axles, after that the integrated circuits' sockets, then around 30 tiny resistors, bumper sensors, a few capacitors, some diodes and 4 LEDs.
Everything went perfectly smooth from the beginning to the end. Who would have thought soldering is so fun? Except for the fumes, they get you dizzy pretty fast.
The multimeter confirmed the circuitry had no flaws and now my little friend is ready for the next stage: finish electromechanics assembly, add the ICs and run the self-test. We'll see how good things are right after that.
Again, some shots.
